Morning Still Sleeping

Fabric seems woven
to have my world presented
with yet another possibility

Today's lesson
was brought to me
by the back of my cereal box
as I was barely enough awake
to realize that another day had begun

The new cold air
seeped slowly inside
from discrepancies in the walls
and the slight shiver
kept me comforted

And in the clarity of my mind
I remembered my dreams
as I slept
and I closed my eyes
to drift away again
